Q: im looking for amd 4800 + X2 motherboard AGP slot. Its because my video card AGP now. I did a search under newegg.com and looked for amd 4800 + that support AGP, to my surprise, the search of “none” “
any idea that I should use the motherboard for AMD X2 4800 AGP slot support ?

This is sort of on topic: I was wondering if anyone knows if the TGI on the ULi will allow me to use ATi (that's a lot of __i's…) Crossfire with one AGP 8x card. What i guess i'm saying does crossfire technology work through software or hardware? I understand if you no one knows for certain since it's not out (except the asrock… but yea) yet but best guesses would be appreciated :)

Re:You might try Monarch's combo page. Select the X2 CPU then start going through the motherboards. It will tell you if it's not compatible.

Re:So do most socket-939 boards with any other AGP chipset. If the voltage regulation can source the current for any 90nm AMD64, and if the BIOS knows what an X2 is, then it'll work.

Re:Some (or most) Nforce3 939 boards *should* support the X2 processors (with a BIOS update). The best thing to do is find a motherboard and then go to the manufacturers site to see if they have a BIOS that supports X2 CPU's.
