AMD 64 4000 Clawhammer good overclockers? [x800 xt pe] [clawhammer]
Q: My friend wants this cpu hes wondering if its good overclockers and if it worth?
or would be better to go for the X2 3800 for the same price? 977.503 (X800 XT PE it has a AGP) motherboard what would you propose to him to buy?

Re:umm, actually, it depends on what he'll use it for. if it's gaming with some minor other tasks (like mine will be) i'd reccomend the 3700 San Diego or the 4000 SAN DIEGO!!! clawhammers suck at OCing (or so I've heard). if he's doing heavy multitasking, or using multithreaded apps, go with the 3800 X2

Re:the x2 3800 is a very formidable overclocker. since he has an agp card. the asrock uli sata2 mobo would be the way to go.

Re:lol x2 woudl blow it away bigtime…. u'll be lucky to get 2.6 or 2.7 overclocking that clawhammer…. x23800 would do 2.7 with good cooling
dfi ultra d is good… some people like the asus as well
