Bandwidth decreased as a result of Hide IP Platinum [kbps] [speed test]
Q: I recently installed Hide IP Platinum and since my bandwidth has decreased a lot. Before I installed my bandwidth Hide IP was about 2.4 MBPS when I ran a speed test on my connection. Now only around 380 kbps. I think I removed IP Hide my bandwidth to get back after I did, but its still around 380 kbps. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re:How do I change it so my data doesn't go through the extra server anymore? I think whatever setting Hide IP changed when I installed it stayed even though I uninstalled it.

Re:Things like hide IP platinum use proxy servers, so all your data passes through an extra server become coming to yours. If the server's slow, then your internet will be aswell.

No not at all. Like I said, surf smart, have a decent firewall, keep your antivirus and antispyware up-to-date, use a Limited User account and you are ready to surf in style. :sun:

Re:There is no good reason to hide your IP, if you are doing something illegal the feds will find you. If you don't want to be banned from internet forums, don't do stupid things.
As long as you browse smart and have a decent firewall you're fine.
