booting from XP directly to your desktop [few minutes]

Q: How can I boot without desktop click my username everytime.as I like to turn on the PC and come back in a with her ready.i tried, but can not figure


Re:yah,it should work.it does skip the user logon screen but theres an error message flashes and then it stalled just before the desktop

Re:Download Tweak UI (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp) and use that.

There is an option for autologon.

type in
control userpasswords2

then in the dialog uncheck "must enter user/password" and click ok

Re:If there's only one user account on the PC, it should go straight the to the desktop. It did on the box I just built for a friend.
