Hi Guy:
I noticed that this computer is running at about the same speed as my old one. The one I wanted replaced by faster!
Then I made a discovery.
The computer that you sold me was not a 1.4MHz computer as advertised. Its a 600 mhz overclocked to 1.4. The motherboard does not even go to 1.4! So I could not even upgrade the CPU if I wanted!
I course, would never have paid this much for an obsolete computer. I want you this computer is replaced by a copy as advertised.

Obviosly, the man is clueless. I have no time for him. So, I offer a refund. Next time, anyone buying my system is likely to pass the IQ test first. But, hey . anyone want to try . ?
Re:Make sure you get your original CPU back (they don't try to pull a switch on you)!
Re:<<

You advertised 1.4Mhz. He should be happy it is 600Mhz. >>
LOL Good catch.
Re:Send him the link to this thread too
Re:<< The computer you sold me was not a 1.4MHz computer as advertised. >>
You advertised 1.4Mhz. He should be happy it is 600Mhz.
Re:You can get a whole beef head at most slaughterhouses for $30 or so. Put it in a box. Tell him you're sending him a replacement. Mail it.
Re:How does he say that you had it overclocked to 1.4 GHz when the board can't even get there??? Obviously a complete and total idiot. Is the thought that it is a 700 MHz (10.5X66 MHz) overclocked to a 1.4 GHz (10.5X 133Mhz)? That is only a 100% overclock, but still probably not theoretically possible. I thought boards that were designed for 133 MHz FSB defaulted to 100 MHz FSB when there was a problem. That would mean it was running at least at 1050 MHz. Go figure…
Re:Just tell him it's Intel's Speedstep thingy..
If he's that stupid, he'll bite.
Re:Well, i think the reason is the jumperless feature of the ASUS A7V133…. If the system crashes or is turned off during POST, the BIOS will reset clock multiplier to lowest possible. This allows overclockers to correct their mistakes. Don't have to go through the process of open the case then short the jumper to clear CMOS, you know..
Re:Perhaps you should charge him extra for the overclock bragging rights…
Re:Maybe I missed something but why does he think it is running at 600Mhz???
Re:a refund???
yer yankin our chain, aren't you???
except for a reseller rating that may take a hit, why??????
the dude is a dolt and totally uninformed.

Re:Man, if you can get a 600MHz CPU to overclock to 1.4GHz you could probably turn water into wine!
That guy's a dumbass. I'd ask him to explain how he came to his conclusion.
Re:I'd just cut and paste the product specs from the manufacturers web page and email him reams of information that he can't understand. Volume silences complaints and pushes people into complacency–if it didn't, we wouldn't need lawyers.
