Re:It says video! IS it in or out i dunno….Its an made by creative

Re:ATI TV Wonder card is good I have one and I have like over 50gbs of vids saved …

Re:I've used the Video In on my GeForce4 to capture video from my Hi8 camera via S-Video lead but to be honest the quality is terrible…drops nearly 40% of the frames and and the output is very jaggie.

I've tried all sorts of video capture apps and different capture drivers with little success. I've since given up on the Video In on the GeForce.

Re:Firewire won't do you any good with a Hi8 camera. The Asus is a great card (I have it), but nothing supports it and the included software sucks somewhat.

Re:You can pick up a TV capture card (Like ASUS TV880 or Leadtek) for pretty cheap ($50). They are quite good at capturing from Hi8 or any other camcorder.

Re:My Sony digital hi8 camcorder(TRV530) has a IEEE 1394 firewire and I connect it to my audigy soundcard 1394 port and I d/l video from camcorder directly to my hard drive. These can be large files and you'll probably need a DVD burner to burn a video.

Works great.
