Can not get speakers and headphones simultaneously play [audigy 2 zs] [headphones]
Q: I used to be able to get my headphones and speakers to play simultaneously, I should be able to do with my Audigy 2 ZS. Now I can not get it to work but I can get either just my headphones or my speakers only working at the same time. I want to be able to quickly switch, rather than to go under my desk, turn around and pull my case, my headphones and put the speaker plug in place. Why would it work for and what not? It is difficult to explain, but what could be the cause? Im mute speakers when using headphones “is not checked, so thats not the prob. Besides, where is the audio forum? : P – Thank you.

Re:Well, I would first make sure that you have them both plugged into speaker ports and not the mic or line-in ports. I'm hoping you've done this already, sooooo…
Depending on what sound card you are using, you may have a port for "front speakers" and "rear speakers" If that is the case, you will need to have both of them enabled to get sound from both ports.
I would first try dbl-clicking on volume control (hopefully in your systray) and Options->Properties. Check "Front" and "Rear" if they aren't enabled all ready. Make sure neither of them is muted.
If that doesn't work, go to Control Panel->Sound->Click Advanced and try setting your speaker config to "Quadriphonic Speakers"
