Poll: Do you like WinXP's GUI, or switch back to 98 classical style? [classic settings] [style layout]

Q: Just wondering what everyone went to when they bought Windows XP

Do keep the nice GUI, and continue to use the new style / layout of the Start menu allows you etc.

or it back to the good ol traditional institutions, just like what used to be win98?

Win2K Pro, Multiple Config.sys or Autoexec.bat [config sys] [old style]

Q: How do I find what looks like the old style DOS Config.sys or Autoexec.bat several Win 2K Pro?

DirectX9 problem? Windows Update? [direct x 9] [policy settings]

i just installed Direct X 9 beta prepatched without the bomb yesterday for winxp, and today I went to Windows Update and the says

“Access Denied

Network policy settings prevent you from using Windows Update to download and install updates your computer.

If you believe you received this message in error, please contact your system administrator. “

any idea?

Unwanted Dual Boot, Have you ask .[win98 bootdisk][boot menu]

Q: I made a mistake by using the Win98 boot disk to get some stuff to see, ah doent matter, the thing is that im the dual boot menu when I still have Windows 98 and win2000 installed and I want to get rid of her! get rid of win98! What can I do?

Mapping _local_ folders in Win2K[network folders][ntfs file system]

Q: So I hear the NTFS file system lets me map a local folder as a network drive. That prompted me to write my partition to NTFS reformat and reinstall win2k. Now Im here, I have no idea what to do. all Im ready to network folders and not just my local folders.

so Does anyone know how to map a local folder as a network drive?
