Q: Well I know she deliberately slowed down, but .

After 30 minutes only 1% of the image has completed copy.

Is this normal in the ?

Ill happy to buy this software if it works, but just how many hours does it take to write the image to burn and do?

Id do want this software first before I drop the coin to try it out.

Re:If it's that big a problem, I suggest backing up the image files too so you won't have to go through the hassle again.

Re:Eh, I thought this thread died a few days ago.

The Asus is just the CD-ROM. My IoPlextor doesn't support fast error skip either.

I'm trying to copy MystIII. Only the first disc is protected, the other 3 work fine.

So guy, I guess I should fire it up and come back in a few hours and check it's progress. And guy confirms it. Hey I can do that. It will be a test of my patience.

Re:That asus you mention.. is that the burner or just a plain dvd/cdrom?

My old CDRom wouldn't do fast error skip, but my burner did. Even though my burner only read at 8x it still was faster.

My Ricoh can chew through a safedisc in about 10 minutes these days, which is awesome.

Re:you're obviously doing something wrong. use another prog

danny~!

Re:i think the cd that you try to read is using safedisc protection.. to read safedisc protected cd fast, you need a good reader.. some cd rom takes hours to read the entire image where as some takes couple mins.. i don't think there are anything wrong with your cdrom anyway.

Re:You just have to be patient. It takes up to an hour to do 2-3% then fairly fast after it burns through the encryption. Longest one I've done took 2 hours to image to a hard drive. Only problem I've had so far is Sims-Party Pak that I have to try again.

Re:Just wondering, what game are you trying to copy?

Re:Evidently my ASUS S400/A doesn't support fast error skip.

I opened the log file while attempting to write the image and it's a sucession of error messages. Can't read sector, after sector, and so on.

This is a game CD and is evidently copy protected.

Re:It really depends on what you're trying to copy. If it has some sort of copy protection, you could try fast error skip.
