Computer not post! Need advice and help please [aiw radeon] [q system]
Q: System:
TB 800
KT7 raid
45 gig Deskstar
AIW Radeon
16x Pioneer CD DVD
Plextor burner
CaseEdge Mid Tower with 235W PS (do not know what type PS)
This is the second computer crashed and no post. The first time, the MB u0026amp; CPU got fried and replace them. Replacing the PS and (same type of PS used in the case) 0.
My suspicions were that the PS was bad at the moment and it finished baking the MB and CPU, but since the fix, everything works great for about one month .
Now, the same crash and no post.
Question: Anyone know anything about this case and the PS that comes with it? Wondering if the PS is sufficient to run TB or just bad mark. Or is there another god, why this happens too? Abandoned?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
edit – seems to be the case to be made by Enlight Corporation and the model number for my case is not on the approved list by AMD.
If this is a prob PS again, I hope it will not fry the MB u0026amp; CPU again . sigh.

Download spybot search and destroy. make sure it is fullly updated and let it run. It takes about 45 minutes to an hr to run a complete test but will detect and remove all of the spyware and trojan dialers. Goodluck!

Re:try some basic troubleshooting steps.
1. pull all the cards and reboot.
2. pull all the drives and reboot.
3. pull the memory and reboot.
If the Mobo and PS are good then you should get a post beep and an error(if you have the video card still in).
If you can get a good post after you removed a device, reseat it and reboot. If you can't get a post after reseating that device then it is probably what is causing the no post issue.

Re:What a pisser.
Of all computer parts, PS is one that I have least amount of knowledge in. I trusted (idiot i am) the mom & pop that had put the system together when they said it was "quality" PS.
Hrmm… 1 more question. When the system is continually beeping (every 1 second or so), which I assume is trying to boot and post, but not getting enough power, is it realistic to assumption that MB & CPU is still alive or doesn't that mean anything? (btw, nothing on screen though)

Re:Check the AMD website for compatable or suggested PS's, I dougbt seriously that there is a single 235W on that list……sorry…:(

Re:Enlight power supplys are not the one you should be using for an Athlon/TB. They are unreliable. I'd pull that PS and get a good one. You may very well have the same problem as before, but you wont know until you can put some "reliable power" to it. I've had quite a few Enlight's go south on me.
