Computer very unstable – especially Alt / Tab [dual core] [world of warcraft]

Q: Hi!

Im running a x1900XTX, 2GB ram, 4200 +, and I am having a lot of problems with it.

First off, I have serious problems in the alt tabbing and . The following things can happen:

1) The alt tabs in fine.

2) It tries to alt tab, but the screen flashes “constantly and not go in Windows I still hit this button to cancel . and then connect a bunch of windows for it to work. Note: This is not because I have too many open, just . random Windows Me from tabbing in. For example, I could not open it notepad, and I wont be able to close a tab will be inch Notepad me.

3), trying to alt tab, runs for a while, and crashes WoW .

4) It tries to Alt Tab in, runs for a while, and my computer crashes.

Now, I also noticed when it starts doing this (the random, but when it starts to happen consistently), my computer randomly freezes in WoW. For those of you who play, earlier today I was just wandering around a deserted area, but nothing on the screen, and suddenly everything was in color, and my UI dissapeared I had to reboot my computer.

This is not the only problem . Another thing is, when I restart my computer, everything is tinted green. Ive just updated my Catalyst drivers, and not to solve this. Every time I start my computer, I am forced to go in my Catalyst Control Center and click on Default to tint back to the real color.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Re:Clean inside and everything, page file is at 3MB.

The only time I have symptons of overheating (computer reboots) is when I run multiple copies of WoW/WC3 (which shouldnt overheat me anyway..)

Re:WoW is bad about alt-tabing even on stable systems you can cause a crash by doing this. Try running WoW in windowed mode and see if this resolves the issue.

Re:is it cleaned out on the inside – is there a lot of dust built up in there? sound like a possible overheating issue. also see how much ram you use in total – are you hitting the pagefile for some unknown reason?

Re:Stock speeds… and no, it hasnt been stable.. it's always been glitchy like this >_<

Re:Overclocked, or is everything running stock speeds ?

Also, was your system stable in the past, and this just started happening or is this a new build ?
