CPU usage – what would it be @ idle [cpu usage] [task manager]
Q: At startup, after one minute of idling, Task Manager provides .
CPU Use: 7 to 8%
PF Usage: 106Mb
Processers: 17
CPU just below the 7% mark . Is this normal?
Best Answer: I've had the same issue too! Unfortunately, it's how the O/S handles the sharing of the CPUs. It looks like 25%, but it's really 100% on one CPU.

Re:I'm honestly not sure >.< sorry =\ That's a pretty low process count in general. Do you have antivirus software installed? Is the task manager only showing system processes?

Re:It depends on what you are running of course from hardware to software. In general though you really shouldnt be running at a 7% idle on a modern computer all the time. Go to a site like http://www.processlibrary.com/ and look up the processes on your computer. Also run spyware and virus checks of course.
