D-Link DL-624 Constant disconnect [xbox live] [dmy]
Q: My router seems to disconnect and reconnect often and I cannot seem to figure out what caused the problems.
I my main computer, my xbox 360 mdy a laptop that connects wirelessly.
It disconnect and reconnect every time I turn on my Xbox Live and it does it every 5-10 minutes, even if I was not on the Xbox. What seems to be causing this problem? I find it not even if my laptop is not connected. My utorrent is usually most of the time, so Im not sure if this is the cause of the problem and if so, what can I do to fix it?
Any suggestions will be grealty appreciated

Best Answer: You mean you get no power to it after 5-10 minutes?
Or it loses connection to the devices attached?
If the latter, try resetting back to defaults. (should be a pin sized button on your router).
Then reconfigure your router. Make sure you have the right settings for I.P. address and subnets (e.g. subnet mask 255.255.0.0)
You might not have access to your router through your browser because your browser has a proxy set on it. OR, you have changed the router's I.P address.
Resetting the router,and bringing it back to its original settings might fix anything you may have changed accidentally or purposely that caused this in the first place.
Also make sure you have all connections plugged in properly. And check whether you have set privileges to only the server computer to have access rights to the router. Try plugging the router directly to a computer via the usb cable.

In that case, stick w/ the firmware that had worked in the past. Also, turning off the firewall? He must be on drugs.
Re:DI-624 sucks. Get the 2.76 firmware. If that still doesn't work then buy another brand router. I RMAed my DI-624 4 times!! Then I just went on and bought the Linksys WRT54GS.

Disable the software firewall. Just on wirelessly or all the PCs?
Disable the software firewall from the router settings?
It's on all the pc's including my main one.

Re:Which revision? If you have either rev. C or D, there are alternative firmware you can try.
