Pros:
Graphics Amazing look, even at the lowest quality that I run.
The game is really incredible pull in.
Cons:
On my system level for a while to take load
Occasional card lag
Overall:
If you need a low-end system like mine, then you may enjoy Doom 3 very well.

No, he meant 256 system ram which is 128 below the minimum recommended 384.

Re:i'm sure it'll run on that. it runs on my gf's computer and she has an xp1600, 384MB ram, gf4 ti4200 128MB.

He's got an Athlon XP 1700+, 256MB RAM (upgrading to 512 soon), GeForce 4 Ti4200 with 128MB RAM, XP Pro.
