EverQuest you solo? ie offline [online game] [laugh]
Q: Ok, I think I had my head in a hole for a while. I grabbed EverQuest thinking, and I want RPGs. Now I understand that this is strictly an online game – is that right? Please do not to laugh. Can this game be played solo or is it just for online.

Re:…and I know one of those guys the above poster was talking about…he was our "cleric" in our regular hunting team…quit his job, lost the wife after she said the game goes or she goes…needless to say, he leveled up to 50 with us (was the highest back in the ol' days)…played so much you would see him late on some heals when in Lower Guk….we ask him WTF he's doing and no reply…30 minutes later, we get a message saying he fell asleep and fell out of his chair

I got burned out, so sold the account(s) on eBay about a year ago…make some nice coin
…I say PLAY IT…best game ever, in my book. Never have I been so into a game like EQ; I only wish UO2 would have released…I'm just in limbo waiting for the next great RPG to hit the shelves

I have to agree. Don't play it, people have lost their friends, family, jobs, and minds playing that game. Do a search on the web for the words: everquest, and evercrack.
NOTE: it is a fun game, but some people have lost all self-control when it comes to that game.

Re:You have to pay 10 bucks a month. There is no offline portion of the game.
And if you do play it, you will be in a cave for the next few years. My advice is if you bought the $10 version, chalk it up as a loss and never play it.
