Excel Question: Resize some cells without the width of all cells in a column?

Q: . every time I try a few cells at the bottom of the screen resize the entire column resizes: (Im trying the width of a forest of columns to change while the width of the cells over intact. . Single idea?

You can't change the width of only some cells in a column.

Re:Yea, I can't figure out a work around :( I tried locking portions and grouping and everything I could think of, but to no avail…that sucks.

Re:You can't change the width of only some cells in a column. You could merge the cell with adjacent empty cell(s) but the resulting cell would span multiple columns. Same goes for row height.
