Far Cry water textures are all messed up? [water textures] [evga 7900gto]
Q: I tried to load Far Cry to see how it performed with my new EVGA 7900GTO, and I had all settings maxed out and things went smoothly, but the water looked terrible? Any ideas on why would it be? Also, what is the stock setting for the 7900GTO? I just tried using cool bits on my last night and it would be much higher than for all shares. Perhaps additional 10 Mhz?

An eVGA 7900GTO is basically a refurbished 7900GTX. one that didn't make they cut. they're proably also getting rid of 7900 stock for g80

Re:I'm not doing any multiplayer at the moment. It was definately the patch, as i had the water set to ultra before. The patch fixed it, and the water now looks silky smoove again. Thanks!

1.4 adds a couple problems of its own, I dont remember specifically what though. It's all just multiplayer changes anyway. Most of the server are still running 1.33.
If you want 1.33 then the order is: Retail -> v1.3 -> v1.31 -> v1.33

Why wouldn't you want 1.4? 
Our point is that his game is obviously vanilla. I believe that there were compat probs with the geforce 6x< and other cards.

Re:Are you using the latest patch? Or is it the demo? The Demo doesn't recognize newer cards.
BTW, newest Far Cry Patch is 1.4.
Latest Nvidia Drivers are 91.47
Uninstall your old drivers and reboot before installing the new ones.
