Firefox 1.5.0.3 Security now to solve live [theory references] [root cause]

Q: security hole (http://www.mozilla.org/security/announce/2006/mfsa2006-30.html)

Martijn Warger and Nick Mott each described crashes that were eventually discovered from the same cause: trying to use a deleted controller context when design mode was switched. This usually leads to crash the browser, but in to deleted objects can be exploited to run malicious code.

“splits” reported the same crash on the fan site MozillaZine and Bugtraq, incorrectly describing it as a buffer overflow.

Older customers, including Firefox 1.0.x and Mozilla Suite 1.7.x, are not affected.
