Help . many of my files n folders have disappeared. [folders] [partition]
Q: I had / have tons of files and folders in my E:
now, I see only about 13gb worth.
my computer still shows the drive being 70GB full.
but I can not see the remaining files/folders.
yes, I I show all the files I checked 0 .
also a program that essentially TreeSize UA tree shows the files on each partition and only shows the 13gb.
how the files disappear?

I have AC:, was d: and AF: and all the files it contains intact.
the f: drive is a hard disk alltogether.
the C:, D: and E: are

Re:I am assuming the show all files is opening an explorer window and going to Tools, Folder Options, View then selecting Show hidden files and folders and then deselecting Hide protected operating system files.
Boot in safe mode before doing something drastic and make sure you scan for viruses.
You can/should be able to burn any floppy utility to a CDROM.
Re:maxtor only has a floppy based utility to check the hdd and I have no floppies in the cpu.
any other way to check hdd integrity?
Re:bad harddrive, use the manufacturers diskchecker
