Help me to the bottom of this: strange network access attempts [funking] [connection attempt]

Q: I found a bit more about what with my network here at the university. Every so often, my network access will pause, just stop dead for a few seconds. Ive discovered why. A kind of connection is coming from the IP 0.0.0.0, and the few seconds spent by my computer tries to return to an IP address that can not exist.
I have to find out where this comes from talking 0.0.0.0. There must be a way to get it back to where it comes from traceable!?

Re:0.0.0.0 as a source is completely invalid. frequently used as a source in attacks. most if not all internet routers drop these frames. since this is local on your campus it is probably not passing through a properly administered router.

Re:Was there an original post to this? I think 0.0.0.0 is indicative of an IP address conflict. Someone in the network is trying to use your IP address? Does your college use static or DHCP?
