Re:I installed a card last night and also had problems. I dont know if this help but here it is.

After I put the card in the PCI slot, I connect a HD to one IDE and a CD burner to the other. Both drives were on their own cable with nothing else connected. After booting up and loading my drivers for the card, I could not get it to recognize or see my hard drive. Even in the BIOS it would not see the HD. No matter what I did, it never saw the HD. After a friend took my drive to try on his computer, he found if he took the Master/Slave jumper switch off the HD, it would see the drive.

I had to move the jumper to SINGLE and evrything worked. BTW, it was a Western Digital 120gig HD if that helps.

The only thing I am having problems with is, now my computer feels like it is dragging. Kind of hard to explain but as I move the mouse, it keeps stuttering like all my resources are being used for a second. Even while opening programs or other windows.
