Q: HI All

Can someone tell me how to clear cache? Whenever I do it for some reason the sites I usually look for my password and dont remember userids.

thanks

Best Answer: Since you only use it for this one purpose, I would recommend also using Disk Cleaner. It's at Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk CleanUp. Run it & check mark everything in the box except Catalog for indexing. Then restart the pc. That's the cleanest & fastest it's gonna get.

Silverlight sucks. I tried to use it to watch the Olympics last summer but finally gave up & watched it on regular tv
.

Re:Use CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) to delete your IE cache as well as your Index.dat file.

HI All

I tried deleting the files but when i click the button i get the message " is not responding"

I made sure my 6 and XP is all updated.
I also ran spybot and adware.

I looked into the browser add-on file. I found a file called "RESEARCH" and it didnt have a publishers name so i deactivated it. I clicked on the name but nothing came up. Does anyone know how i can find out what it is and who put it there?

Even with this file deactivated the browsing is still slow. Does anyone know what i can do to fix the problem with the I.E is not responding message?

By the way, I mostly use opera browser but IE comes in hands too.

thanks in advance

The not responding message is normal especially if you checked delete all offline content. If you have never cleared the cache before it could take literally 10 minutes before it finishes. Just let it run.

Re:Link (http://www.fsm.nl/ward/)

An oldie but better than IE alone and it is free….realize that if you're looking to do more than remove cache, there is still data to be found… (eg. slack files, registry, etc).

Re:you can't (http://ashitaka-san.home.comcast.net/yayrant/ieharmful.html)

Even if you didn't follow that walkthrough, it is urgent for you to know that is keeping a backup of all of the websites you've visited, even if you've tried to get rid of them by clearing the cache, clearing the History, purchasing cleaning software, etc.
