How do I disable “Microsoft Networking” logon thingy? [microsoft networking] [absent mindedness]

Q: I recently got a fresh install of W98SE and now when I boot I get asked that dumb a @ @ id and pw. Usually when I install W98SE I just hit enter when prompted for id / pw and it never asks again. In my negligence Did I miss something this time? Is there anyway to get rid of that thing? And yes, I just left it blank and press enter, start Windows, but still asks for it back on next reboot. grrr . Ideas?

Re:If that alone won't do it, then do a search for all the *.pwl files you can find, and nuke 'em.
