HOW do I get from these ads without AdAware and Spybot! [pop ups] [adaware]
Q: How do I get rid of these ads without AdAware and Spybot! because the last time I used IT really messed my internet! The pop-up ads when I go to my site to be a home for example in my case, www.google.com and then one million pop-ups appear

I have been using adaware for more than a year with no problems. I understand what you are getting at about the registry though. Also it may help to actually read through the list and uncheck anything that sounds like something you want. That is just me though. 
Re:Adaware actually does have the potential to "mess up the internet" because of some of the items (registry, dlls, etc…) it will edit/delete. I ran it once after getting GAIN/Gator junk installed somehow and it ended up corrupting my IP stack, resulting in a complete reinstall of all tcp/ip protocol/devices. That was a lot of fun.
However, if you run the uninstalls of the spyware programs first, Adaware is much less likely to screw up. So, find the folders of the spyware programs and run any uninstalls they have before using Adaware. You can find out which spy ware you have by pressing ctrl-alt-del and seeing the list of running programs. Then google any names that look suspicious to make sure they don't belong. Also, you can disable those programs by running msconfig (start, run, "msconfig"). But only do that if you know what you're doing.
I've found that disabling the startups in msconfig, then running uninstalls and deleting files, then running adaware is the best formula… But that could just be me. Hope this helps.
Re:Adaware and spybot are both great programs. They will not stop popups, thats not what they do. You will get popups unless you use a popup blocker.

Re:If it messes up your machine somehow then just run it through once, then remove it.
Re:If you're getting that many pop ups from just visiting Google, then you've got spyware. And lots of it.
I fail to see how Adaware could screw up your internet…. but I do suggest running it again. I've used it for years on many different machines and never once had it mess anything up.
