Q: How can I network of the Brother MFC-8440 4-in-one printer?
User wireless router (g) from Netgear and a Dell laptop.
Re:No any Windows OS above Win98 would do.
The printer need to be connected with CAT5e to an availble port on the Cable/DSL Router.

When you install the printer you have to install the printer?s special drivers on all Network Computers. Once you install it you can Scan, Print, Fax, Copy, and what ever else the printer can do.

Re:Well, I just setup an MFC-5440 on my home network. Although I haven't tried to scan or fax from another PC, that's what the owners manual claims it can do. Maybe I'll work on that this afternoon.
