Q: Antec 300W bought 2 motherboards case from .

Toasted () and two processors (1GHz Athalon). And I mean smoked.

Is has a history of problems with A7V?

I tend to think I have a problem with the power voltage supply.

Any suggestions?

Re:That thought crossed my mind, too Bad…but then I thought "nah, couldn't be…" Who knows, though?

Re:Whoa…are you using stand-offs? The back of the mobo cannot be grounded ANYWHERE!

Good Luck next time. :D

Re:You need to try changing that power supply!

In my experience, the A7V is a work of art.

Re:did you check and see if there is a short between the back of the motherboard and the case, i had that happen once.

Re:The A7V itself is a fine motherboard which hasn't given me any problems at all. I'm currently running two systems with that mobo, and both are incredibly stable (and not anywhere near burning up :) ).

It might be a problem with the combination of the A7V and your power supply, but I haven't heard of this happening from anyone else, so I'm not sure if this is correct or not. Still, the A7V is a great motherboard, and it's a shame that you've had such bad experiences with it. :frown:

Good luck in the future.

Re:I tend to think you're correct. I wouldn't be testing that theory again. Don't know about the history of that case/ps/mb.
