Iomega ZIP 100 IDE u0026 Windows XP Pro problem [zip 100] [zip disk]
Q: I looked around and can not seem to help in finding this problem. Bascially the zip is a little buggy with Windows XP. Some files can not copy from a Zip to the hard drive (I get file transfer errors), sometimes lock, and if I leave a Zip disk at startup in XP complains that it is a FAT 32 file system and recommends they be scanned . Then it starts to scan, but is just there. This disc works fine in Windows 98. Who have any suggestions? Thanks!
Re:XP Pro recognized my Zip 100 USB at initial boot-up/install and even shows the goofy new Zip 250 style icon (As I have the old bogger boxier one).

Just tried the download…while there is some improvement but it's still buggy as hell. I can't seem to copy any files to or from the zip without locking up the system. And when it does work the copied file ends up corrupted. Too bad, I LOVE XP but need the zip for classes. They use Zip 100 at school, not 250. Is the 250 backwards compatible with the 100???
