Q: Is it worth swtching to Windows XP 64 bit? I currently have WinXP Pro, and everything will smooth.
Is 64bit stable, and new features?

Most hardware? You mean just hardware that MS ported drivers to and for what few manufacturers have released their on 64-bit drivers.

Primitive? It's the same f'ing thing, the differences are extremely minor which is why the betas have been so stable, there were virtually no code changes required.
SO I agree it's not really faster for 32-bit apps, it's just the same stupid windoze but at the right price this time.
If it's so stupid and overpriced why do you keep using it?

xp-64 is avaialbe for free right now cause it's still "beta" – you can't buy it. But as many reviews have mentioned, since rc1 it's already very stable and works with most hardware, so you and especially the previous poster that paid a lot of money to get your primitive 32-bit when you could get the 64-bit for free……
I haven't yet installed all my games on it, but so far I have zero problems. SO I agree it's not really faster for 32-bit apps, it's just the same stupid windoze but at the right price this time.

Re:And 64B is a bit of a beta (pardon the aliteration!). Lots of stability problems so far. Check out the Microsoft forums for more details of these. I'd wait a while till it gets mainstream, unless you're like a Harley owner and love tinkering on continual problems!
Re:If you are happy with xp pro then stick with it, If you feel like living on the cutting edge then go with x64 xp. The only real advantage is 64 bit programs. Theres not that many at the moment.
