Is there a bootable CD for XP? [bootable cd] [floppies]
Q: I have a set of 7 disks to boot XP, but I would like to a CD and I do not know if I put them on a CDR would work.

Re:i suggest you take a look at Bart's way to create bootable CD-Roms (http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/). Probably the best howto create a bootable OS CD. They have information about creating slipstreamed Windows CD, automatic Ghost dumping bootable disc and a lot more on the subject. The autor is an MVP (Microsoft Most Valuable Professionnal) and the information is very accurate.

Seems to me Eltano wanted a guide on making the XP files bootable when burned back to CD, very hady for making your own XP SP1 CDs, boot to CD reinstall Windows XP, VIOLA SP1 installed too…

You mean a pure dos prompt? XP doesn't have pure dos mode. www.bootdisk.com (http://www.bootdisk.com) might have what you're looking for?

Re:when you boot of the XP cd, go to the recovery console, that will give you most of the functionality of a normal command prompt
