Q: It is extremely annoying browsing through my every time I download a file.

Best Answer: I have had to deal with similar types of malware and they are not easy to get rid of. They install multiple files deep inside your system that are hard to find. And if you can find them they are locked and not easy to get rid of. Most of the time you will have to boot into safe mode to remove them.

If you are having trouble locating and deleting these files, there are two other options for you:

1) You can try to doing a system restore back to a date before the malware appeared on your system. If you don't know how to do a system restore here are the instructions:

For XP:

For Vista & Windows 7:

2) As a last resort and 100% fix, you can do a fresh install of Windows. If you bought your computer from a retailer like Dell or HP they usually have a built in utility to restore it back to its factory settings. You can find instructions on how to do this on their websites. If not, you will need to have a Windows disc. If you do not have a Windows disc you may be able to create your own with nLite (for XP) or vLite (for Vista).

These will only work if you have a folder called "i386" in your C:\Windows directory.

Make sure to back up everything that is important and can't be replaced onto another computer, , or other storage media before doing a fresh install/factory restore.

Re:Either use the Download Manager, or use the Download Progress Indicator. If using the latter you can have it stay open after something is finished downloading. You can then click the "Launch File" button.
