KVM doesn't want to work with Linux: |[ps2 ports][input ports]

Q: Here is the KVM I have (http://www.aten.com.tw/ATEN_news/ACS-1722/ACS-1722.html)

There have on the front, and the only ports coming from the back to monitor and USB. There are also two USB ports for incoming traffic on the back. When the mouse and keyboard are plugged into the on the front, Linux recognizes nothing. I like my mouse to connect through one of the USB ports on the back, then the mouse works, but still no keyboard. I dont have a straight USB keyboard, and I do not have the money for a new one. I can not figure out what to do . I tried recompiling the kernel with no success, USB is enabled in the BIOS, the KVM switch works fine when I boot into Windows. Linux says that keyboard and mouse USB support to start when the drawers, but I can not do anything with the keyboard when Im in Linux . I try to run Redhat 9 .

The man in the following article with the same problems that Im having.
