Linux distro will fit on this hard drive? [partition sizes] [voodoo 3]
Q: Well?
I want Ubuntu and dual boot with Windows 98 to use a nice old computer. It got a P3 600MHz, 128MB RAM, 13GB hard drive (11GB left about this), and a Voodoo 3 video card. I want this principle to use for internet / email / instant messaging and things like that. So do you think this will fit? What should I partition size on? Is there any other distros that would better suite this computer? Thanks for your very kind help:)
Re:Sweet thanks for your help!
Re:Even for Windows XP that is more then enough.
Re:8GB should be more than enough. 5GB would be the minimum sized partition I'd use, just because of the number of applications you have to choose from is HUGE. Once you find the ones you like it might be easier.
Re:Well I havent set it up yet. I was gonna do like 8GB for Ubuntu and 5GB for Windows 98. Do you think this will work?

I dont know if your being sarcastic or not. I was able to put windows 98 and some programs in at just above 1GB…
I'm not being sarcastic. How much unpartitioned hard drive space did you leave for Linux?
