Q: Hi, Does anyone know how to modify lilo.conf with Vi? I use Mandrake 8.0. Ive had this before with other files, but when I again tried to lilo.conf, it did not work. I usually open the file I hit I (insert than) I have the file. When Im done, I usually hit esc then: wq! then I hit enter. But this time it does not work. I think this has to do with lilo.conf is read-only file. So people give me how to do this. Thanks

Re:ya, REMEMBER to run "lilo" after you edit it, or if you dont, you may get a kernel panic, good luck ..
