Looking for a 9800P Sapphire 128MB (128bit) original bios [128bit] [quot]
Q: Ok,
I tried flashing this thing with an XT. Of course I found after the fact, that this will not work on the “older” models 128bit. I did this many times on many machines and cards in the past. I back up my original bios as always to ensure if something goes wrong. After trying a few moded bios without success, I tried to restore it back and went floppy belly. Now I have lost the original BIOS and the machine will boot, but with a corrupted screen of course. I have disparately looking for these cards bios over the net with no luck. Sapphire ATI and got called technical support and a nice person trying to get me the original . hahah . no luck. My card is an ATI (Sapphire) 9800 Pro 128MB, red and black board ATI heatsink and fan. It also has a jumper in the corner and has four in-line with Hynix memory chips 412A them. If anyone has this map, or know where to find a bios, I would greatly grateful.
P.S. I can still flash card in DOS blind because I have done all that often. Also, read other posts here (mega) and my box will not boot with both AGP and PCI installed. No option in Bios or PCI video boat first.

Re:** Just to update **
I've tried almost all the bios cloe to my card from www.ocfaq.com
Thanks for the reply posts.
My problem is all these bios are for cards that " can" be flashed to higher levels being that they are 256bit models.
Mine was sold to me and even on the box said 256bit, but it is not.
My cards P/N is 1024-1C47-00-SA
I'm praying somebody see's this and emails me the correct bios.
hint……hint….hint……
P.S. This is killing me in more ways than 1 ……… Doom3 CD's sitting here next to me …..
Re:I have a Sapphire 9800 Pro, 128.
My memory appears to be Samsung. Not sure what else to look for in regard to compatibility with your card…let me know if you need some other details.
Re:Mathias,
Thanks for the reply, and to all who did reply. I have tried a bios already from a card just like yours. ( 256bit version), with no luck. Going now to try my luck on 3DRage forums. I am sure there is somebody out there that has a card like mine. Thanks again.

There was a fuss over this just recently (maybe last month). Yeah, they were selling 128 bit cards as 9800 pro's. You had to look at the small print. I think after they got caught and flamed, they stopped. I think they also offered to upgrade it to a 256 bit model for a few $'s.
He called it an "older" 128-bit model, which makes no sense, because those cards were only sold in mid-2004. I'm well aware of the whole Sapphire '128-bit 9800Pro' debacle… his post just seemed confused. Of course, my reply probably could have been clearer as well. ![]()
Re:You could try one of the Sapphire bioses here. (http://www.ocfaq.com/softmod/bios.php) I think Hynix 412A is 2.8ns. There are two Sapphire w/ Hynix 2.8 bioses to choose from. Or maybe you could find a 9800SE bios that works. Most of them were I memory configs. It's only four pipes, but it may be easier to find then what you are looking for and might get you up an running. Softmod for eight pipes until you find the correct one. Just a thought.

Make sure you look under the right manufacturer.

Welcome to the forum guy! and good luck with the bios hunt.
Re:The Rage3D forums (http://www.rage3d.com/board/index.php) should have the file you need, just do a search. If it's not there just post a message and someone will get you one I'm sure.
