Memory questions. EDO DIMMs vs SDRAM DIMMs [dimms] [notches]
Q: Are they supposed to fit into the same slot? I have a lot of OEM IBM EDO DIMMs (FRU: 42H2780) and they dont seem to fit into regular DIMM slots . Like the grooves are a bit to compensate. Is this normal / standard for EDO DIMMs?

what .. what i meant was, why would you want to use slow edo memory, when the board accepts sdram .. eh still dont understand any of that, but cool ..

Re:Yes, EDO DIMMs (168 pin) do have their notches a little offset….IIRC they run at a different voltage…5 volts as opposed to 3.3 in standard SDRAM.

Re:i think its normal… my uncle gave me a EDO Dimm I had no idea what to do with, because it would not fit for the life of it into by BH6's RAM slots.
