Minimum required to install Red Hat 7 [red hat 7] [pentium 120]

Q: Hi, what is the minimum required to install ? I have an additional system that I want to install . It is a with only 32 megs. Does anyone know the minimum requirement and me what is the minimum memory do I need to tell it to install? Thanks

Re:Hrm.. The S3 Virge should work just fine. There could also be a memory requirement for the GUI install, but I'm not sure (I'm more of a Slackware type).

Re:So the problem is the video card? The video card that I have is S3 Virge. But the Linux detects it as the generic video card r something like that. So do I have to change the video card to make it work? Is there a trick to get the GUI? thanks

Re:If the video card isn't recognized by the kernel framebuffer (basic video drivers), it won't give you the GUI for the install.

Re:But why is it not giving me the GUI interface like when I install the Linux on my other system? Everything is just text so it's a little bit hard to install it. Is it usual to have text format if my computer is only ? Thanks in advance

Re:Minimum Linux install:

486 with math co-processor
8mb RAM
Can use floppy drive booting (so hard-drive not required)
Hard drive install/booting 40mb+(depends on options)

That should cover the basics…
