Q: Hi, you are my last resort.

I recently built my new system: MSI K8N Neo
AMD 64 977 503 3000 NVIDIA nForce3 250Gb Platinum Digital 120G
2 sticks Kinston KVR400X64C3A/512
Western Caviar
ATI 9000 (not the cash to buy a new VGA So it was one of my old system to use)
ANTEC 430 PSU
Windows XP installed Professtional SP1

I everything one at a time, as you ought to do it. Closed set BIOS to failsafe settings.
Installed my OS . ok, Everythings GREAT. First try. Test my CPU voltage, temp. MB test voltage and temp. All fans are great. Visit the MSI website and check BIOS version, and driver. (All up to date)
Begin Windows update . ok . ok . everything is great. Now its time to install SP2 and everything is going well until the time to restart . then BOOM, the OS loads up the login screen, then immediately crashes on restarting over and over and over. I unistall OS (he thinks a driver missed), reinstall and update . same. Now, Im just not SP2. But, then I load Battlefield Vietnam (game) and the BAM does the same thing . what is going on here ? Im at a total loss.

Re:Are your guys's WinXP CDs the real thing? My nF3 250Gb board didn't give me any problems updating to WinXP SP2 (although I've gone back to Win2000 Pro now). Different 250Gb board though… Asus K8N-E Deluxe here. If you can't think of anything else, hit F8 and see if you can bring up the Safe Mode menu, and try either Safe Mode or Last Known Good Configuration.

Re:Well Rezanat0r, if you can figure out what's wrong with the darn thing, let me know…apparently, no one on here does

Re:I have the same motherboard and processor. Getting the same problem.
Install SP2 -> reboot -> machine reboots over and over. don't even see the Windows XP screen.

Re:ok, now my ram is set right 2.60v according to kingston, but it still is doing the same crap

Re:The voltage is set to auto. The lowest choice is 2.50v. Also, I have the FSB set to 200. The board is rated for 800 and cpu is rated to 1600. What should that be set at? Could that be a problem? Oh and by the way. when it crashes, it begins a memory dump.
