Q: I run WinXP and for a few months now without problems, but about two weeks ago I started getting BSODs, usually when using IE. I thought it was a cool question, so about a week ago, I upped the cooling my case but I also have a disabled real-time protection, because I know NAV can sometimes cause problems. Everything was fine, so I thought it was the cooling . until . last night I rebooted my computer (I leave it on 24 / 7) and within an hour got a . Ive noticed that following the reboot Real Time Protection was turned on, so I disabled it again and things are fine since. I have a Ghost backup of October, I again, and after did the automatic update of the BSODs started, what is strange, because back in October, when the backup is taken the PC was fine and stable , and I have not changed since then. Could it be that the automatic updates for December (ISH) is a problem with Real Time Protection?

Re:It's an old post which has got bumped up to the top, the issue has been resolved, thanks all.

Re:I've got several machines here with XP and NAV 2002, no problems. I'd try reinstalling NAV.

Re:add me to the list of having all the updates without any noticable problems!

Re:Four systems w/ XP and the latest updates on all of them = no problem here.

Re:My XP pro and NAV 2002 are getting along okay too. Auto protect and update are enabled. Caught an attachment virus just today.
