Is it a program I download or something built into windows?

Dave

Re:What OS? If it's NT-based, check your file permissions. Otherwise, you may have the root directory set incorrectly. I'm not familiar with Serv-U, but look for it's configuration file/utility. Also, are users connecting anonymously or with a login/password? If it's a l/p, check to see if Serv-U is setup to forward users to a folder dedicated to their particular username. Finally, if they upload files, can you see them?

Re:Hello, I have a Linksys Router, I can map connect all 4 computers in my house from any computer and work fine, But i cant connect to someone outside my local network. But as mentioned earlier thats probably due to NetBeui.
I ip address is Dynamic coming into my modem and its a 68.55 number to start off with.
I assigned every computer an 192.168.1. ip address, First computer is 15, next is 16 then 17 then 18
They all access the internet fine and are able to dl stuff from download sharing programs because i have the port triggering and forwarding setup properly.
I believe my problem is the Serv-U FTP Program.
I've had people connect to me but cannot see my files. They are connected though because my computer shows them connected and I can send them messages through the ftp program that they can see. But they just cant see my files.
Hope this helps out a lil.
Re:Lots of questions..
Do either of you have a router? Do you have IP's on either of your machines that start in 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x or 172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x? These are private IP's that aren't routable. Can you ping each other by IP?

Re:Ok well i use Serv-U 4.0.0.4 and it dont work, Anyone know of any other better ones?
Re:The problem, I'm guessing, is that you're trying to use NetBEUI, which isn't routable. It's much easier to just set up a little ftp server on one end or ther other.
