Q: . Well, my computer lately with problems and I seem to have solved most of them, except one, which is very confusing. In fact, its so amazing that it almost does not love me (fury like most of my other problems:)). Heres whats up. Probably about a week ago I went to turn on my computer is restarted, I heard the fans spin up, but the screen remained blank. Weird I thought, I bet my came loose. under my desk Im just looking for the cable is connected correctly. I check the monitor power, it does. I realize I never saw the computer POST. So I turn it on again. 2 The number on the monitor will immediately FF, or fully functional, without reacting. Weird. So I reset it, does the same. Reset a few times, it starts to work. Since then, a few times, but now when I go running on the network will go to FF and nomatter what I do I can not fucking machine to even try posting! Ahhh! Power is definitely still on the motherboard, btw.

Here is my setup: 1.4 GHz @
epox 8k7a
1.2 TBIRD (dont tell me clock down, it will not even try to post so that doesnt have nothing to do with it
Radeon LE
256 meg Crucial DDR
40 gig Maxtor HDD

I power switch has a few months ago, but they are both 300 watts and this setup ran fine on the new one for a long time .

Any ideas?

Re:The odd thing is those serious crashes occurred only when i played Ghost Recon or Medal of Honor. How could software cause such permanent damage…to a mobo nonetheless. Hard drive is understandable, but mobo? I had all the latest drivers; it's very odd.

Re:Something like that has happend to me on my Epox 8KTA3 (hmm…notice a trend here :) ), i would crash, reboot with no post, reboot again and it would start up normally.

Sometimes i needed to do a cold boot to get it going

Re:I'd also like to note that i have Crucial ram, Radeon DDr, and IBM 40gig hd. I tried reseting CMOS, upping the voltage on the cpu and ram, nothing worked. So i think it's the mobo.

Re:I HAVE SAME PROBLEM!!! k71.33/ epox 8k7a. I was playing medal of honor, and my computer reset. It posted C1 (detecting ram) i rebooted it like 100 times and it worked, this happened a few more times until rebooting it 1000+ times doesn't work. It doesn't even get to bios! It just starts up, posts C1, then E2 (an error not listed in the manual). I re-assembled my whole computer, nothing worked. I'm gonna be sending my mobo to newegg this week, supposedly they'll either fix it or send me a new one.

Re:300watts is plenty, people often say you need more but often you do not unless you are running a lot of items. If you fear it is the PSU make a list of all the items in your case and add up their wattage, if it exceeds the PSU, then upgrade to 350W or whatever. Otherwise I bet it is your motherboard or graphics card, first try another graphics card if possible, then if that still does not work, then it is the motherboard or monitor.

Re:Ok, so i took out EVERYTHING and just ran the mobo alone with the PSU… well it's definately the PSU or the mobo, and I would tend to believe it's the mobo because it's getting power and all. I don't understand why it just stopped working though.
