NOLF II *** – Not the stupid Teaser – THE DEMO NOW !*** 158MB GOLD! [demo exe] [nolf]
Q: I just can not believe that this is not installed (even has an OT thread). The NOLF II “Teaser” is already posted, but the 158MB DEMO is out!
FileShack (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=1098)
FileFront (http://www1.filefront.com/ iron-bin/ff/root.p_bin_/page__download_file; filepath__/3dgamers/games / noonelivesfrvr2/nolf2_demo.exe; clear__page, filepath; cache__1F)
FilePlanet (http://www.fileplanet.com/files/110000/113061.shtml)
This demo is funny! Note the robot talking macaw? I decided to shoot him with my crossbow and his response cracked me up (English accent) “Do not shoot the bloody bird!”
: D
NOLF was the first game that made me laugh. NOLF II continues the trend. It seems like I (finally) get to the end of Deus Ex. . . That is my “next purchase” list (and Ive just upgraded my hardware, so the data can all be “high” with no performance penalty).
BTW, excellent graphics and better lip synchronization. Its Gold

EDIT: ALL THREE Finally Gone learned Deusex ends. : D Cannot wait for DEII.
Re:No sign ups, no line ups, and you can get it pretty quickly online at Nvidia.
I tried it on the weekend, it's pretty sweet! I couldn't believe how much they give you in the demo.
Hehe funny stuff and pretty funky weapons.
Re:Well the Deus Ex fudge factor strikes again – I have to meet some guy outside of the old shop premises in New York – guess what – no guy in sight – even although the walkthru says he will be there
Looks like I need to start the level all over again then.
I'm gonna finish this game – just realised it was way back on Sept 8th the last time I played.
The weird thing is I never had any trouble with the levels until I got to HK – thats where I got pi$$ed off and decided to look for a walkthru. I'm normally the type of person that won't use any cheating ![]()
Re:Hong Kong in DE is HUGE! What irritated me is that you have to review all your goals, conversation, and data to know exactly what you must do next. And THEN travel from one end of the map and back, over and over.
DE is unique in that you have a lot of CHOICE. What you do at a "branch" affects how the game will respond later. I guess it's a hybred of a RPG and a FPS.
Your example of the tunnel being blocked by police . . . keep going . . . eventually (after you complete a certain goal) they are GONE and you get to procede. I finally got to see all three endings . . .
I prefer the simplicity of the FPS like Max Payne and NOLF (not necessarily the completely stupid simplicity of the Serious Sam games). I am really looking forward to NOLF II (and eventually DE II).
Re:I think I'll see if I can download the demo then.
I am also wading my way thru Deus Ex (Had the game for like 2 years now!!!) but never had the enthusiasm to finish/complete it due to better alternatives at the time.
I was stuck in Hong Kong for a while (then again I lived there for 6 years nearly also) and could not complete it even using the walkthru.
What happens in Deus Ex is that unless you do something in a specific order the level cannot be completed. First time I've noticed that in a FPS game.
I then went thru the level in the same order as the walkthru and in the various places where I could not gain access previously etc the game was actually different. This was even using the correct security codes/logins also.
An example of this would be two police vans in the tunnel blocking access to the security doors – as well as a posse of HKP guarding the area.
The same scene in a different order produces 1 police van and no police – and access to the security door.
Re:Wow, I didn't realize the full version was coming out so soon! This is a must buy for me. I loved the first NOLF, one of the few games I've played through multiple times. The demo for NOLF2 was no letdown, so the full version should be awesome!
Only thing I noticed about the demo is that Cate has a different voice than she had in the first NOLF.
Re:BTW, I just finished DeuSex (ha ha, I just noticed this . . . always watch out for a game where the hero has the initials J.C. . . .
I joined the Illuminati . . . how the heck to you get back to sector 3 from 4? I'd like to see the other alternative endings.
You could cheat (http://www.actiontrip.com/cheats/deusex.phtml) Thats what I did once I beat it the first time…
Re:Looks like NOFL 2 will ship the first week of Oct. DX 2 should be out in the first half of 2003.
guy, in DX I let the world revert to the stone age. Felt it served us right. ![]()

doesn't seem like alotta people post here, they just go post in off topic cuz that's the only forum they visit regularly
No worries. However, THIS is where it belongs. OT is fine for a lot of people seeing something quickly where it gets discussed and then drops to the bottom. Here, the responses are more measured and it can get discussed for days.

Re:the NOLF2 demo is awesome and I can't wait to play the full game.
Re:Oh NO!
Must resist NOLF2.
Aaaaargh!
Re:Gone gold?! How am I supposed to get my MCSE when so many good games are right around the corner?!
Re:cluck cluck cluck
cluck . . .
cowabunga! Dude
It's gone Gold!!! (http://www.gamespydaily.com/news/pressrelease.asp?id=1728)
Expect to see the full version soon.
Re:As to politics in OT . . . I am avoiding there.Chicken.
Re:Originally posted by: guy
guy, to each his own but I commend you on Deus Ex. And Deus Ex 2 is coming, too.
btw, I haven't seen you in any political threads in OT for a long time. We could sure use your common sense and opinion right about now.
Deus Ex . . . awesome game. I am really looking forward to DE II just like I am looking forward to NOLF II because of the original. Gameplay and immersive story is what I look for . . . (however) pretty graphics really help (that's why I got the Radeon 8500).
As to politics in OT . . . I am avoiding there. I am living in San Diego now and have easy access to (real) surfing every day (although it's really fun it's still tiring exercise). ![]()
Re:Yup, it's great and you can get it for $20 or less now:D
Re:how is the first game in this series? any good?

Re:Very cool demo. It's fun to knock on the alarms in the ninja level to bring people to you.
Re:Originally posted by: guy
This is actually a good demo unlike the horrendous "teaser" they released.
They're taking ideas from Thief, Deus Ex and System Shock. I like the changes and will probably buy this game. For the record I thought NOLF 1 was a 3.5 star game (out of 5).
I gave it *** (3) stars.
The humor was first rate. The last game that was this clever was the MDK series (well, sure Monkey Island but I never played them).
I am in the last couple of missions of Deus Ex and while I will probably give it a 4 (Half-Life got a 5), I must say it is tedious to work your way from one end of the map to the other and back over and over.
I am really looking forward to NOLF II and hope there is a Hot Deal associated with it. ![]()
Re:I can't find the guy I'm supposed to meet up with in the second part. I've looked everywhere!! %$#@!!!!
Found him – Hehe. Damn code breaker. ![]()
Re:Originally posted by: guy
there have been posts…you probably just missed the one post cuz the dude actually typed out NO ONE LIVES FOREVER
I DARE you to find it for me in Software.
The "Teaser" (that crappy little game "short" playable movie) has been posted. The "demo" has been in OT . . . but not here.
This one is 158MB – several short missions . . . and funny as hell. ![]()

Re:DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!
I believe Fileshack doesn't require any sign up and the lines are pretty much gone at the regular d/l sites.
Re:I downloaded it and gave it a test run last night. I like it.
