Q: Will works with Windows 2000 Server? or will I need to get a corporate edition.
I checked the website and the North says I need a minimum of 10 licenses plus the software to buy = (

thanks

Re:If you are doing this in an Enterprise enviroment, be forwarned
that you need to make sure that you use SYSPREP to avoid
duplicated SIDS and computer (server) names.

Re:Yes it does. You can't install it on Win2k server, but I copied GHOST.exe onto a bootable floppy and ghost'ed my O/S drive that way… works wonderfully.

Re:It is what I use for linux and BSD OS's. The target drive must be as large or lager than the drive you are copying, since it copies everything, including free space.

Did you try using the sector by sector copy switch? In 2002, it is ghostpe.exe -IR from the command line.

I will give it a try. Thanks for the info.

Re:Doesn't work with mine. You will need a enterprise solution. Consumer(home user) editions detect that the OS is a server version and will not Ghost it. Tried with ghost 2000, 2001, and 2003. No dice with any of them. Older Ghost Enterprise editions will work though if you can find one, but they cannot write to NTFS if backing up to a HDD.

Re:should work. only thing that would stop ghost would be the file system. recent versions do FAT32 and NTFS

Re:Pretty sure it should work…but I've only used the Enterprise/Corporate version on it. However, if you need multicasting and other advanced features, you need the Enterprise Ed for sure. Also, I think there might be problems using Ghost (both versions) on RAID drives if you're using that in you're server.
