Q: I have 2 at home running on a network, my client and the server is Windows2000 Windows98 (always on the net). I shared the folder on my client, but when I try to access it from the server asks for a password. When I share the folder, one is enabled, all privileges not know why I keep getting that stupid dialog. Any help?

Re:On the Win2k machine you have to create a user called "default" and then go to each share and make sure that the user "default" can access them.

Re:I am logged on the Win2K machine as administrator. On the Win 98 as the default user.

Re:do u log into Win98 box using user/pw that are existed in win2k box ? … you need to create a new user/pass in ur win2k box and log in with it into ur win98 box.

Re:Depends on how you're trying to access it. Try creating a shortcut to it, on the win98 machine, using network addressing.
