Maybe Im behind on this, but I did not know that VIAs was released for P3. This board has, but I can not find on Pricewatch yet.

Well, I want one, maybe its not worth it ehh?

What do you think?

Re:There is no way of knowing until you bench both platforms.

Exactly. But at the very least you can be sure the price of the system will come down. DDR RAM is almost the same price as SDRAM now.

I have an Athlon but plan to go back to Intel… and P4 is a bit expensive..

Re:nice, I've had several supermicro motherboards that I've been very happy with.

Re:I can't wait for benchmarks and pricing info. :)

Re:Well, I don't know that. Maybe until I see some benchmarks, or try the board myself.

Re:I think most guybers here know Athlon processors will get the most benefit rather then Intel from DDR boards.

:)

Re:bah dont expect any performance increase though. The bus cant even use the damn bandwith.

Re:So I guess this is the first DDR P3 board then ?

Re:Did you look in the mirror first, before coming to that conclusion?

Re:I won't get via chipset mb again.
Too many bad, unhappy experience.

Re:Wow, this is news to me. I knew VIA was bringing a DDR solution for Intel to the market but not this quickly, and not for the PIII but rather P4.
