Q: Hello, I am with some serious performance issues with games like UT2004 and , to name but a few. Looking at my specs below, would you assume that I am at least half decent performance in games get. But while playing with my UT2004 offline just fight like 54 and online even worse, my wont fight like 35/40 . is pretty much the same, is about 40 or 50 and does go much higher for the rest of the game. I have checked the stability of my o / c and it is very solid and my cpu temps dont get to over 50 C under max load. Can you help at least some better performance bfore I lose my mind?!?!

Re:Im using a TT PIPE101 Heatsink (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106045 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106045)) paired with a 90mm TT led fan. Temps for it are around 38C idle/54C MAX (Fall-Spring) and around 36C Idle/50C max (Summer, cause of AC). I am thinking of getting a new PSU this summer, cuz my volt rails look kinda weird now and then and it's just not dependable. Also, i got a question, does dual-bootting affecting your performence at all? Cuz I need one side of the comp for all my video editing, burning, and image editing, and another side just for games.

Re:Nice rig, what are you using to keep that prescott cool? I like the aspire cases..but you may want to consider replacing the codegen PSU..

Re:I reinstalled Windows completely on a fresh formatted hd, and disabled fast writes and BOOM!!! My rig is performing to par with the other 3.6e based rigs. Thanks a bunch SilverTine, lets just hope it stays like this for a while….

Re:1. Make sure you installed all the correct AGP/Motherboard drivers
2. Shut down fast writes, can be the cause of many difficulties
3. Reinstall Win XP totally from a fresh format
4. RMA Videocard if still getting same issue

Thats the course of action I would take.
