Q: I have the demo at 1024×768 with all .The graphics look great but when I went to look at some screenshots , I found it mandatory to my eye:

These pics a lot better than me what I already accepted as “good” images on the demo.My questions because that would DX7 DX9 problem on the demo? (I had DX7 because my framerates were terrible force . and then I was always close to 100fps after) . or are those pictures of the finished product and not the demo . or is it my graphics card?

Re:the demo didn't have the high quality textures that your seeing from the screenshots of the actual game

Re:I really do hope they get the DirectX thing fixed I want the most of 50 bucks I'll be paying.

I played CoD2 on the Xbox 360 today and felt it looked just as good in hd on a plasma as it did on my computer. I don't have a high end PC but I was able to pull 50ish fps at 1280×1024 with dx9 enabled and felt the 360 was very comparable.

i feel just the opposite.. see my thread here:

Re:That 3rd shoots sweet! However it looks too good to be in game rendered. I think it's photoshoped or prerendered. It has to be

Re:bump

So who's getting the game tommorrow?

Re:Can the xbox 360 produce those stunning gfx?If yes then I'm trading in my xbox once it comes out!:D…nah I'm just going with the idea there trying to market the game more.

Re:Is it possible these are from the 360 version? No flame-bait intended, but I've heard that particular version will be quite impressive visually and in terms of overall framerate.

Or maybe it's rendered on some Uber prototype card. Or on a current one at 1.2 fps. ;) Doesn't matter in a screenshot. Hehe.

Re:Yeah i'm getting my copy tuesday after school.

Well I'm planning on getting Call of Duty 2 anyways…but it just strikes me how different the graphics are from the screenshots and the demo

I saw a commercial for this game on TV and the difference between the commercial and the screenshots is even BIGGER! I swear the commercial was half in game footage and half live actors… no game looks that good. It was almost a mix too so I am thinking it was some creative advertising, lol.

I can't wait for this new COD2 game! :D

Re:It's probably a combination of all.

Most demos ship with lower quality textures in order to keep the download size low. Some graphical features might have been disabled on the demo that will be available in the retail version. Finally, forcing an older DX mode would certainly take away from the .

I don't know if I really put a lot of faith in screenshots. Even with the newest and best hardware, is it even possible to reproduce some of the marketing screenshots?
