Also Norton Anti-Virus Auto-Protect was disabled (which I do not remember) and try

Getting BSOD before Windows is [boot volume] [bsod]

2010-09-05 / Operating Systems / 0 Comments

Q: one I get “UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME” blue screen of gtarting up in WinXP. This error comes just before Windows starts, but after the WinXP logo is up.

I have no idea what went wrong, but the machine in question has been dormant since one week (ie not used at all, and were closed ). The last time I used it, there seemed no problem, and I did not install all updates, because there was no Internet connection.

I have no idea what to do.

TIA
