Wifiu003e Bridge u003e u003e Mac Wired NIC [crossover cable] [windows machine]

2011-08-01 / Networking / 0 Comments

Q: So, I have a windows machine with wireless, I have a Mac, it should connect to the wireless, but does not have an AirPort card. If I bridge the wireless connection in the Windows machine, then connect the mac (does not need a crossover cable IIRC) to the windows machines network card, the MAC may then access the intarweb?

I only ask, because it is a big drive to the computer of this guy and I want to know if it will work before I set out .

Thanks, guys.

Connection properties let me choose whether I an icon for the connection to get, but that only affects whether I change the appearance when the cable is connected to gain – if the socket, I get the “red X” icon, regardless of this setting .
