k7s5a system is dead, what now? [ecs k7s5a] [win 2000]

Q: I built a system beginning last fall with ECS K7S5A, Athlon 1.4G (boxed), 256MB Crucial PC2100, MSI GeForce GTS, Win 2000, ATX, etc. It has run flawlessly since then.

It started dying this weekend . Sometimes it would not start, it would sometimes, sometimes he would himself down.

That flakyness continued as I tried to isolate me as the wrong paths somtimes. It was like my CD-RW drive screws into the IDE bus at once, but thats from the image now.

I PRO mobo. I wanted to know what the best processor OCd be. I think either an XP 1700, XP, 1800, 1900 or XP, XP 2000?

ment uninstall OS to disable APCI [ecs k7s5a] [apci]

Q: I need to disable APCI on my ECS K7S5A, because I have sleep problems, and so apparently I need to get my OS first. Im running WinME upgrade from Win 98. Should I upgrade to go back to Win98 and then install Win98 unstall, go to bios and disable APCI or can I just disable APCI after removing WinME, then reinstall the upgrade WinME?

Q: I just bought this PSU Fortron Source (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817104953) from Newegg. I was planning to use with my HTPC, using an old ECS K7s5a Prohttp (http://://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817104953) board is used. The problem is that when I plug Fortron power supply at all, and turn on the computer, its all about, but it wont POST.
