Is there a file synchronization program that works through FTP? [file synchronization] [laptop]

Q: “Make available offline” in Win2K/XP is crazy and I can not use it if I was not in my room anyway. What I want is a program that monitors a directory for changes and then synchronize the changes between my desktop and laptop.
